George Henry Dashwood (21 October – 9 February ) was a British antiquary.. Life. Dashwood was born at Downham Market, Norfolk, on 21 October , the son of the Rev. James Dashwood, rector of Doddington, Isle of Ely, by his second wife, Sarah, daughter of the Rev. David Lloyd, spending five terms at Christ's College, Cambridge, he transferred to Lincoln College, Oxford.
